Hello Area 25,
Attending the 76th General Service Conference was an incredible experience, but I’m happy to
be back in Area 25. It’s a mixture of happy, frustration, satisfaction, a little uncertainty, and
some sadness at the end of the week as the Panel 75s said their farewells. I am happy with the
work we did, and if I disagree with any of it, I will support the group conscience because I
believe that is how our Higher Power speaks to the Fellowship.
I would respectfully ask that you please keep an open mind on anything you might have heard
that came out of the Conference until you attend a Delegate report. Trying it in the courtroom
of social media often replaces facts with frothy emotional appeal. My first Delegate report will
be May 22 in Wichita at the State Hispanic Convention. Other dates include the Area Assembly
in July and Area 25 Conference in September with Districts filling in between.
It’s truly an honor and privilege to represent Area 25 at the General Service Conference and I
sincerely thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve.

Hola Área 25,
Asistir a la 76.ª Conferencia de Servicios Generales fue una experiencia increíble, pero me
alegra estar de regreso en el Área 25. Fue una mezcla total de alegría, frustración, satisfacción,
un poco de incertidumbre y cierta tristeza al final de la semana, cuando los miembros del Panel
75 se despidieron. Estoy satisfecho con el trabajo que realizamos y, si bien puedo discrepar de
algún aspecto del mismo, apoyaré la conciencia de grupo, pues creo que es a través de ella que
nuestro Poder Superior se comunica con la Comunidad.
Les pido respetuosamente que, por favor, mantengan una mente abierta respecto a cualquier
información que hayan podido escuchar sobre lo acontecido en la Conferencia, hasta que
tengan la oportunidad de asistir a un informe del Delegado. Someter estos asuntos al “tribunal”
de las redes sociales a menudo sustituye los hechos por apelaciones emocionales superficiales.
Mi primer informe como Delegado tendrá lugar el 22 de mayo en Wichita, durante la
Convención Estatal Hispana. Otras fechas programadas incluyen la Asamblea de Área en julio y
la Conferencia del Área 25 en septiembre; entre estas fechas, se intercalarán las visitas a los
Distritos.
Es verdaderamente un honor y un privilegio representar al Área 25 en la Conferencia de
Servicios Generales, y les agradezco sinceramente por haberme brindado la oportunidad de
servir.
