December 28th, 2023
I am excited to announce we will be adding this Delegate’s Corner to our website as a way for the Delegate to help keep you- the fellowship informed.
I am humbled to serve as the Area 25 Delegate for Panel 74. In plain language, serving on “Panel 74” for “Area 25” means I represent the State of Kansas at the 2024 General Service Conference, and will do so again next year in 2025.
The AA Service Manual (p. 32) tells us that “Delegates are charged with understanding the experiences, viewpoints and group conscience of their areas, while assuming responsibility for the U.S./Canada Conference as a whole. This is why the experience of being a delegate is like no other.”
A timeline of how things will proceed prior to the conference – I will receive the final Agenda items in late January and will make sure they are posted on this page. The target date for getting all of the background material is February 15. This is usually an enormous amount of material so I would suggest looking at the agenda times and requesting the background on the items you are most concerned with.
Once the final Agenda is made available, I will be conducting two Town Hall meetings via Zoom to obtain input from the fellowship. Additionally, we will be doing our Mock Conference at the Committee Meetings in April. Anyone is welcome to attend the Mock Conference and supply input. All of these are opportunities for the delegate to hear feedback from the fellowship prior to the conference.
In a separate tab from this page, I will put communications from the General Service Office (GSO) as well as any other information relevant to the fellowship.
I plan to start doing Delegates reports in June after the Conference. I am also available to do them via Zoom if that works better for your area. In addition, I will post a recorded Delegates report on this page for viewing.
It is an honor and privilege to serve, sand I look forward to hearing from you.

Panel 74 Delegate
